Welcome to Greenfield Hill
The Greenfield Hill neighborhood is the largest in Fairfield Connecticut, and one of the wealthiest. This neighborhood is home to many horse farms and historic homes on stately lawns, as well as new constructions. This section of Fairfield offers the largest property sizes as it is 2-acre zoning. Many residents love the area because it offers privacy, gorgeous and mature landscaping, and huge backyards made for parties, soccer games, pools, tennis courts, farms, gardens and more. The streets are tree-lined to perfection and when leaving the hustle and bustle of NYC or Stamford (as we have many commuters), coming home feels like coming back to a slice of heaven...an everyday vacation.
Greenfield Hill is a community within a community. The Greenfield Hill Village Improvement Society, an organization working to maintain the rural character of Greenfield Hill for future generations, hosts Christmas Tree Lightings, a Pumpkin Festival and Arbor Day Celebration. There is also an annual Dogwood Festival, named after the dogwood trees along Bronson Road and the Greenfield Hill Green. Across from the Green is the Greenfield Hill Congregational Church, a landmark in this neighborhood. Other favorite spots include Brett Woods, an 185-acre open space with woods and trails, the Connecticut Audubon Society, another place for hiking, the H Smith Richardson Golf Course, and the Patterson Country Club. The Greenfield Hill Market, located in the southern part of the area, offers tons of food options, such as Testo’s Deli & Pizzeria. It also holds a farmer’s market from May to October.
The Ridge, a neighborhood within a neighborhood, is an exclusive gated community in Greenfield Hill. The Ridge features 97 homes, 125 acres, wide streets, private cul-de- sacs, prestigious houses, a community swimming pool and recreation center, a 24-hour staffed gatehouse, and each home pays an association fee for these amenities. The recreation center has a great room, billiards room, locker and bathrooms, a patio, and a sauna, and offers seasonal events and family activities exclusively for homeowners in the Ridge. Greenfield Hill is as “country” and rural as you can get in Fairfield yet a short drive to Fairfield, Southport, and Westport as well as the Merritt Parkway which anchors the neighborhood, from one side to the other.
